Stacie is a Learning Advisor and runs workshops and one-to-one tutorials for both home and international students.  She holds a degree in English Language & Literature from Durham University, a Master’s degree, also from Durham, for research on William Blake, and a taught Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Birkbeck, London University, with a thesis on the language of schizophrenia. She speaks French and Italian.

Previous experience abroad includes teaching, developing materials and co-ordinating courses at King Saud University, Riyadh, and at Naples University, Italy, as well as extensive travel throughout India.  On returning to London, she taught Renaissance and Modern Drama to Study Abroad students from Niagara University, U.S.A. and organised related programmes of cultural events. Concurrently, she ran her own business, a tutorial agency, for six years and taught Business Communication Skills. She is also a fully qualified state teacher.

Stacie also holds diplomas in Psychology (OU), Counselling Skills (WPA), English Language Teaching (DELTA), Theology (Middlesex University) and has experience acting for the stage. She has professionally mentored self-esteem enhancement, goal-setting and personal development courses and is licensed as a Church of England lay minister. Her great loves are travel, foreign languages and the theatre.  She is a member of the Marlowe Society with research interests in Neo-Platonic influence on Elizabethan thought.
